Man Flashes Knife when Caught Stealing from Meijer

A man who stuffed a garbage can with stolen goods then tried to wheel it out in a shopping cart flashed a knife when confronted by store security, police said.

The incident occurred Monday around 6:40 p.m. outside the Meijer located at 11305 W. Lincoln Hwy. The man was accompanied by a woman, both estimated to be in their 40s. He was described as 5-foot-9; few physical descriptors were available for the female. Both were described as heavyset.

No one was hurt in the confrontation. The man dropped the knife and the suspects fled the scene.
