Obituary: ​Kostas Katsaounis

FRANKFORT, IL — Kostas Katsaounis, age 72, died on March 5, 2023.

Loving father of Andrew (Christina) Katsaounis; beloved grandfather of Hunter, Avery, and Annabelle; cherished brother of Hrysa (late Chris) Pantazopoulos, Dionysios (Virginia) Katsaounis, and Maria (late Kosmas) Kappatou; dear uncle of Theodore and Adrianna (Nikos); Loving ex-husband of Janice Katsaounis.

Kostas was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore and Adrianna Katsaounis.

Kostas was an owner of the former Mary Todd's Restaurant in Frankfort that subsequently became known at Kosta's Restaurant & Bar. He owned and operated the establishment for 20 years and was very involved in the community.

Memorial visitation for Kostas will be from 10 a.m. to noon on March 26, at Orland Funeral Home, 9900 W. 143rd, in Orland Park, where a memorial service will follow at noon. Interment private.
