Physical Therapy Continues At Frankfort Clinic Amid Pandemic
The clinic still provides services to patients, although masks are required and capacity limits are enforced.

FRANKFORT, IL — Even in the middle of a pandemic, certain medical services must continue. In Frankfort, METT Therapy Services reopened in May to its clients, and has been providing physical therapy services for patients who have needed it.
The location, 10367 W. Lincoln Highway, is an outpatient clinic for Franciscan Alliance St. James. According to its website, it provides evaluation and treatment for orthopedic and sports related injuries, post-surgery rehabilitation, vertigo, fall and balance problems, and more.
Operations have changed slightly at the clinic due to the pandemic.

"Frankfort is a smaller clinic, and we are keeping our numbers down by only having two therapists working at a time, and patients every 30 minutes so there is no more than 8-10 people in our clinic at a time," Clinic Manager Brianna Meinke told Patch.
Staff and patients also have their temperatures taken, and patients are also asked symptom/travel screening questions at every visit. Meinke said only the patient is allowed in for a session, unless a caretaker is needed.

There is a tent and chairs outside for the patient's family if they do not want to wait in their car.
Meinke said every person in the building is also required to wear a mask and equipment is disinfected with hospital grade cleaner after each use.
