Lindberg commemorates St. Valentine’s Day at the library with the inside story of Al Capone and the infamous St. Valentine’s Day Massacre, occurring inside a North Side Chicago warehouse on February 14, 1929. Mr. Lindberg identifies the likely suspects responsible for this signature crime of the Prohibition Era that helped give Chicago the international reputation for its gangsters and unchecked lawlessness.
