State Runner-Up Finish For Lincoln-Way East Boys Volleyball

FRANKFORT, IL -- The Lincoln-Way East High School boys volleyball team finished its 2017 season as the state runner-up over the weekend at the IHSA State Finals at Hoffman Estates. The Griffins defeated New Trier in the semifinal before dropping a three-set match to Glenbard West in the final.

"The staff could not be prouder of this team's accomplishments,” said Coach Kris Fiore. “They really unified as a team, improved tremendously throughout the season, and were able to accomplish great things."

A parade for the Griffins was held upon their return to Frankfort.
