Tinley Park Man Charged After Frankfort Armed Robbery: Cops

Kwamaine Tarver, 24, has been charged after he robbed a store with a handgun and led police on a car chase, police said.

FRANKFORT, IL — A Tinley Park man has been charged after he entered a Frankfort cell phone store armed with a handgun, police reports state. Kwamaine Tarver, 24, has been charged with armed robbery, vehicular hijacking, aggravated fleeing, resisting a police officer and aggravated battery of a police officer.

Tarver was one of two men who entered the store Dec. 13, police said. Both men were taken into custody in Harvey after a car chase involving multiple law enforcement agencies.

Tarver is being held on $100,000 bond at Will County Jail and his next court date is Jan. 9.

No charges have yet been filed on the second offender. Police said the investigation remains very active and more information will be released when available.
