Village Clerk Moves into Vacant Trustee Seat

Keith Ogle was sworn into the position during this week's board meeting.

Frankfort Village Clerk Keith Ogle will take on a new role as village trustee, after Mayor Jim Holland announced the appointment during a Sept. 21 board meeting.

Ogle, who has been the Frankfort Village Clerk since 2013, resigned from that position and took the oath of office from Mayor Holland at the meeting. He will serve as Village Trustee until the term expires in 2017. He moves into the seat vacated by Todd Morgan following his resignation in July.

Ogle has been president of the Frankfort Public Library District since 2011. He was elected to the position of Library Trustee twice and he has served as Library Trustee since 2009. He has served on the Frankfort Village Department of Operations committee since 2008. He was also President of the Frankfort Chamber of Commerce and he is a past Frankfort Fall Fest Chair Person, as well as President of his homeowner’s association.

Professionally, Ogle is President of Plus One Audio Video, a Frankfort business. He holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Morehead State University. Keith is married to Kim, a physical therapist. The Ogle’s have two grown children, Kelly and Kristin.

“Eight well qualified candidates applied for the trustee position,” said Mayor Jim Holland. “After careful consideration and review by me and the trustees, I am pleased to appoint Keith Ogle to the position of Trustee. Keith’s village, community and business knowledge bring unmatched experience and a variety of management skills and decision making abilities to our board. His sense of volunteerism characterizes the spirit of the Frankfort community. The other trustees and I have confidence that Keith will represent all citizens of Frankfort well.”

State law calls for the Mayor to appoint a new Village Clerk with the advice and consent of the remaining trustees. The Mayor invites residents of Frankfort to submit applications to be considered for the Village Clerk appointment. Applications are available from the Village Administration Building at 432 W Nebraska Street or from the Village website at www.villageoffrankfort.com. Applications need to be turned in to Debbie Cox at the Village Administration Building by Tuesday, October 13, 2015. The Mayor stated that he and the trustees will review each application. The Mayor stated that he expects to announce an appointment by November 16, 2015.
