Where to Find Irish Fare in the South Suburbs

St. Patrick's Day is almost here. Why not celebrate with a good meal? We've rounded up several Southland shops and restaurants that offer authentic Irish food.

This south suburban Irish grocery store offers several traditional foods from Ireland, including Irish sausages, black pudding, white pudding, corned beef and soda bread.

The Ashford House Restaurant

7959 W. 159th St., Tinley Park

Adjacent to Winston's Market, this Irish restaurant serves up corned beef and cabbage and shepards pie. The Ashford House also stocks several Irish beers, including Smithwicks, Harp, Guinness, Magners and Woodpecker.

The Carraig Pub

6119 W. 147th St., Oak Forest

Located at Chicago Gaelic Park, this Irish restaurant features Guiness cheese crock, corned beef, shepards pie, beef and Guiness pie, bangers and mash and Irish tea and scones on its menu.

Tom Kelly's Chophouse and Pub

495 Degroate Rd., New Lenox

This Lincoln-Way pub serves Irish favorites, such as corned beef and cabbage, shepards pie, Guinness beef stew, a Guinness-style burger, a rueben sandwich and an Irish club sandwich.

Wolf's Bakery and Sweet Annie's

3241 W. 95th St., Evergreen Park and 2550 Central Dr., Flossmoor

Both of these Southland bakeries are currently selling Irish soda bread and shamrock cookies.
