• Gages Lake water tower adds 1.25M gallons of storage for county: ‘We have never run out of water … and we don't want to' (chicagotribune.com) — A new 150-foot Gages Lake water tower is now online, doubling backup water storage for the Wildwood system and boosting pressure and reliability for nearby neighborhoods. Funded through user fees, the $6.1 million project supports about 14,000 customers, including parts of Grayslake, Gurnee, Third Lake and unincorporated areas, and is meant to protect long-term access to clean drinking water. 
• Victim fights back, stabs attacker after group pulls him out of his car in parking lot of bar near Grayslake (lakemchenryscanner.com) — A late-night fight that began at the C’Mon Inn bar near Grayslake spilled into the roadways, with deputies later finding a stabbed man near Gages Lake Road and Hunt Club Road. Investigators say another man reported he was pulled from his car and beaten, then stabbed an attacker in self-defense; charges may follow for the alleged aggressors.
