2 Aurora Vape Shop Staffers Illegally Sold Weed At Geneva Business: Police
Police recovered more than 200 grams of cannabis and 70 cannabis vaping cartridges while executing a search warrant at the vape shop.

GENEVA, IL — Two vape shop employees were brought into custody Tuesday after police discovered they were illegally selling cannabis at a Geneva business, officials said.
Aurora residents Daniel Velasquez, 28, and Kylie Housley, 20, were charged with multiple felonies after they were found in possession of more than 200 grams of cannabis and 70 cannabis vaping cartridges at Buzz Smoke N Vape, 722 E. State St., according to a Thursday news release.
Members of the North Central Narcotics Task Force and Geneva Police Department executed a search warrant Tuesday that led to the arrest of the employees, both residing in the 700 block of Orchard Avenue in Aurora.

Velasquez was charged with the following felonies:
- One count of manufacturing or delivery of a controlled substance
- Six counts of manufacturing or delivery of cannabis between 30 to 500 grams
- One count of possession of cannabis over 100 grams
Housley was charged with two counts of manufacturing or delivery of cannabis between 30 and 500 grams.

The search warrant was granted after the Narcotics Task Force investigated illegal cannabis sales at the Geneva business. The enforcement team is a multi-jurisdictional group coordinated by the Illinois State Police with members from agencies in Kane, McHenry and Cook County.
