• Geneva Residents Can Learn About 2030 Strategic Plan At Upcoming Meeting (patch.com) — Geneva residents and business owners are invited to a Sept. 17 meeting at the Geneva Public Library to learn about and comment on the city's 2030 Strategic Plan. The session will outline six key priorities, from governance and economic vitality to environmental stewardship and infrastructure, and give attendees a chance to review progress indicators and offer feedback that will shape future outreach.
   

• Kane County State's Attorney takes secret email poll on special prosecutor amid treasurer complaints (shawlocal.com) — Geneva residents Ellen Jo and Donovan Ljung helped trigger a Kane County controversy by formally complaining that Treasurer Chris Lauzen's property tax bill insert looked like campaign material. Their letters, along with others, prompted State's Attorney Jamie Mosser to quietly poll County Board members about hiring a special prosecutor, revealing divisions over ethics, transparency, and how public funds should be used in election season.
