• Batavia, Illinois: High School Receives Phoned-In Threat, Police Find No Credible Danger (theunionstar.com) — Geneva High School briefly activated its Secure Protocol after receiving a phoned-in threat, but police and school officials quickly determined there was no credible danger and returned the campus to normal operations. Batavia High received a similar call the same day, and investigators are comparing these incidents with a recent Bartlett case while keeping extra officers at both local schools.
   

• Geneva holds off Batavia 56-49 in highest-scoring rivalry matchup (shawlocal.com) — Geneva High's football team stayed atop the DuKane Conference with a thrilling 56-49 road win over rival Batavia, powered by four touchdowns from running back Nelson Wendell. The century-old rivalry saw its highest combined score ever, with Geneva's offense piling up big plays and key turnovers to move to 5-1 overall and remain undefeated in conference play.
