GENEVA, IL — The leaves are changing, and the air is crisper — that means Halloween is creeping in.
The spooky holiday falls on a Saturday this year, and the City of Geneva set its recommended trick-or-treating hours for 3-7 p.m. Oct. 31.
Officials reminded residents that since Halloween isn't a city-observed holiday, officials don't provide guidance regarding the cancellation of related events.
Children will have a second opportunity to collect candy during the Downtown Trick-Or-Treating event Oct. 29. Kids are encouraged to dress up and visit participating businesses to collect candy from 2-5 p.m.
