Upon arrival, they discovered at least 100 people in the parking lot and surrounding areas shouting and fighting. At the same time, they found Marcus Holland, 36, of the 1000 block of Foran Lane in Aurora, lying in the lot suffering from gunshot wounds.

Police believe that, following a large party inside the bar, two groups of people began arguing and fighting once they got outside when shots rang out. It appears that Holland was shot more than one time by an unknown person who was on foot and then fled the scene immediately after the shooting. It is not clear whether the person who fired the shots ran or fled in a vehicle. Holland was pronounced dead at the scene.

Just after the shooting, police were alerted to the 22-year-old man who was stabbed just outside the bar within moments after the shots were fired. The alleged stabber is described as an African-American male in his early ‘20s, 5’10”, 150 to 170 pounds, wearing a black, white, and red hooded sweatshirt with a white shield on the front.

The man who was stabbed was treated at an Aurora hospital for a non-life threatening injury to his back, and released.

It is not yet clear if the two incidents are definitely related and a concrete motive has not been established in either the shooting or stabbing. Most of the people at the scene were uncooperative and hostile with police, however, investigators have cultivated some leads.
