Authorities ID Aurora Motorcyclist Killed in Geneva Crash
Dale P. Slaughter was killed in a two-vehicle crash last week in Geneva.

GENVA, IL - Police have identified a 61-year-old motorcyclist killed in crash on Fabyan Parkway in Geneva last week as Dale P. Slaughter,of the 1000 block of Windemere Lane in Aurora, according to the Aurora Beacon-News.
The crash happened at 4:36 p.m. on Aug. 10 at the intersection of Fabyan Parkway and the Settlers Hill Golf Course entrance, which is located just west of Kingland Drive. According to witnesses, Slaughter was traveling westbound on Fabyan Parkway approaching the intersection of Settlers Hill Golf Course when he failed to stop at the intersection and struck a pickup truck exiting Settlers Hill Golf Course onto Fabyan Parkway.
Slaughter was ejected from the motorcycle and struck the roadway, according to the news release. He died shortly after arriving at Delnor Hospital. The driver and sole occupant of the pickup truck was not injured.

The accident is being investigated by the Kane County Accident Reconstruction Team (KCART) and Geneva Police Department.
