In Nugget’s case, the dog was excited about her Real Ham Bone treat and wouldn’t put it down. Later that night, Nugget started vomiting and the next day, she was dead, according to the article. A month earlier, she had been to the vet and was deemed healthy.
“I’m looking at it as one plus one is two,” Kent told ABC 7 Chicago. “A perfectly health dog ingests this bone, or part of it, dies within 24 hours.”

The Dynamic Pet Products website lists its Ham Bone as its best-selling product.
“This bone is approximately 1 pound and is good for small to medium size dogs. Not recommended for aggressive chewers- we recommend they enjoy a Beef Bone. As with all natural bones, we recommend supervision during eating,” according to the product description.
Dynamic Pet Products also advises on the Ham Bone label Per “the bone is meant to be chewed, not eaten.”
