The chances for a Batavia native to continue on in the reality TV show, the Bachelorette, are looking slim.
Clint Arlis, 32, an architectural engineer who now lives in Chicago, impressed bachelorette Kaitlyn, during an initial date but decided to let the leading lady “come to him” during episode three and blew any chance of one-on-one time.

On top of that, the show hints at a growing “bro-mance” between Arlis and JJ Lane, 32, a former investment banker from Denver. Arlis has been referred to as the “brokeback bachelor,”and in Monday’s episode talked about his love for Lane.
“I feel like I connected with JJ more than Kaitlyn and I want to stay here,” Arlis said. He said his growing connection with JJ is what‘s motivating him to continue on in the reality TV show.

Before the end of the episode, Arlis pulled Kaitlyn aside for a heart-to-heart where the two kissed. It appeared Arlis had redeemed himself but other bachelors then let Kaitlyn know that Arlis’ intentions were less than sincere.
More should be revealed during next Monday’s episode of the Bachelorette, which airs at 7 p.m. on ABC.
