Bloomingdale Man Killed In Fatal Motorcycle Crash IDed: Coroner
The 70-year-old man died from injuries sustained after a pickup up crashed into him while riding a motorcycle on Route 38.
GENEVA, IL — Authorities have released the identity of the 70-year-old Bloomingdale man who was killed in a crash July 16.
John Jones died from multiple injuries sustained in a motorcycle crash, the Kane County Coroner's Office said Wednesday.
Toxicology samples were collected during the autopsy and sent to a forensic laboratory, officials said.

The Bloomingdale resident was riding a 2015 Harley Davidson motorcycle eastbound on Route 38 in Geneva when a 2008 Chevrolet Silverado veered into oncoming traffic and collided head-on with the biker, Patch reported.
The crash happened around 1:45 p.m. near the intersection with Crissey Avenue.

The motorcycle driver, who was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, was transported to Northwestern Medicine Delnor Hospital and was pronounced dead at 2:17 p.m., officials said.
Geneva police said they anticipate charges to be issued based on the preliminary investigation.
