GENEVA, IL — Some kids are becoming entrepreneurs early on, and a group of them will have products and goods they've created for sale at Geneva Commons' third-annual Children's Business Fair Aug. 27.

The one-day marketplace, taking place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., will showcase children's startup businesses. The goods and products that will be sold were created by kids between the ages of 6 and 16, according to a mall spokesperson.

The event is designed to teach children entrepreneurship in a practical and fun manner. The course of action? Have kids come up with a product, service or idea and market it to the local community.
