Christmas Tree Pickup: See When Geneva's Waste Hauler Will Take Them
Geneva residents will have two weeks to bring their live Christmas trees out to the curb for free pickup.

GENEVA, IL — While it may seem premature to ponder getting rid of your Christmas tree, it's worth noting Geneva residents will have two opportunities to dispose of their live trees for free pickup after the holidays.
Geneva's waste hauler, Lakeshore Recycling Systems, will pick up trees during the weeks of Jan. 2 and Jan. 9. During this period, no refuse stickers will be needed. After those two weeks, residents will be required to attach a refuse sticker to the tree and set it at the curb for regular pickup.
All materials, including plastic bags, ornaments, lights, and nails, should be removed from the tree. Live wreaths and garlands can be thrown out in regular garbage bins.
