Christmas Walk, Holiday House Tour Will Kick Off Geneva Holiday Season
Five houses decked out for the holidays will be shown off at this year's Holiday House Tour, happening over two days in December.
GENEVA, IL — Two beloved events, the Christmas Walk and Holiday House Tour, will usher in the holiday season in Geneva at the start of December.
The Geneva Chamber of Commerce-organized events are expected to surprise guests while celebrating tradition, officials said.
The Christmas Walk will kick off at 6 p.m. Dec. 1 with Bob's Candy Cane Parade. Graham's Chocolates will present the first candy cane of the season while Santa Lucia, the Swedish symbol of the season, will offer cookies to visitors.

While serenaded by carolers, families will be able to stroll through Geneva's historic downtown while visiting shops and restaurants decked out for the holiday.
City officials will also light the Christmas tree on the Kane County Courthouse lawn. It wouldn't be a holiday event without Santa, and Kris Kringle will be visiting with children at his home at 10 S. Third St. Reservations to see him, which cost $10 per time slot, can be made on the Chamber's website.

The event features five houses merrily decorated for the season. Each ticket, available for $38, includes holiday tea and a treat from Scentcerely Yours, while supplies last. Proceeds are used to decorate the city for the holidays, officials said.
