College Credits: Geneva Student Awarded Entrepreneur Scholarship

Geneva student receives entrepreneur scholarship for 2021-22
Eric Palmquist, of Geneva, IL, received a scholarship from the Lassonde Entrepreneur Institute, a top-10 ranked program at the University of Utah, for the 2021-22 academic year. In total, the institute awarded $320,400 in scholarships to 110 students for the year. The scholarships come with the opportunity to gain leadership skills and experience while managing many activities for aspiring entrepreneurs.

"We have an incredible group of student leaders and scholarship receipts this year," said Anne Bastien, program director at the Lassonde Entrepreneur Institute. "These students are getting a great experience managing our many programs and opportunities while also receiving support for their educations. We look forward to seeing what they accomplish this year.

Geneva students named to MSOE honors list for fall quarter
Milwaukee School of Engineering congratulates students named to the Fall Quarter 2021 Honors List.
- Asher Sprigler of Geneva (60134), was named to the MSOE Honors List. Sprigler is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering.
- John O'Brien of Geneva (60134), was named to the MSOE Honors List. O'Brien is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in BioMolecular Engineering.
Undergraduate students who have earned a GPA of 3.20 or higher (out of 4.) for this quarter are on the Honors List.

Geneva students perform in nationally televised “Christmas at Belmont” concert
Belmont University congratulates students who performed in this year's production of "Christmas at Belmont." Belmont students performed many classic holiday favorites to help ring in the Christmas season, orignally broadcast on December 20.

Local resident joined Biola community for fall 2021 semester
Biola University was excited to welcome students to the Biola community as they started their journey as an Eagle this fall.
The following local residents were welcomed to the Biola community:
- Clark Giansanti from Geneva (60134)
- Anastasia Kallas from Geneva (60134)
Biola's incoming class represented an accomplished, diverse group of individuals who hailed from 41 states and U.S. territories and 44 countries around the world. A total of 842 undergraduate and graduate students started their collegiate journey at Biola University on the first day of classes on Monday, Aug. 30 and finished their first semester on Friday, Dec. 17. Biola students attended classes and lived in residence halls on campus this fall, which was an exciting arrival since there has not been an entire student body on campus for almost 18 months.
