Entertainment, Musical Acts For Geneva's Swedish Days Revealed

Entertainment for the annual festival, happening June 21-25, will be spread across three stages in downtown Geneva.

GENEVA, IL — A slew of entertainers and musicians are slated to perform at this year's Swedish Days, happening June 21-25 in Geneva, officials announced Wednesday.

The annual festival will grace the streets of downtown Geneva for the 73rd annual year. Performances will be spread across three stages throughout the first four days of Swedish Days, organized by the Geneva Chamber of Commerce.

On the final day, the stages will be gone, replaced by the Swedish Days Parade stepping off at 1 p.m.

"Bringing a mix of genres and styles to the festivals is always top of mind," Laura Rush, communications director of the Chamber, said in a statement. "Having entertainment begin on Wednesday with Geneva Park District performances and Geneva’s Got Talent semi-finals allowed the Geneva Chamber to bring new 'hot' bands each evening to Central Stage, Thursday through Saturday. We hope the audience enjoys returning favorites and new additions."

First introduced in 1949 as a way to promote Geneva businesses, Swedish Days has since grown to the point where "nearly every member of the Geneva community participates," either as a volunteer, event-goer or performer, organizers said.
