Free Summer Concerts will Rock Geneva Commons on Sunday & Wednesday Nights, June 7 – July 1

Sunday, June 7, marks the kickoff to the 13th annual Summer Concert Series at Geneva Commons in Geneva, Ill. The free outdoor concerts will continue each Wednesday and Sunday evening through July 1 in the shopping center’s courtyard between Houlihan’s and Bar Louie. Sunday concerts begin at 5:00 p.m., with Wednesday night concerts beginning at 6:30 p.m. Concertgoers are welcome to bring their own lawn chairs and blankets. Early arrivals will be rewarded with a free gift: a free 16-ounce double-walled tumbler to the first 50 attendees at each concert.

The summer concert schedule, weather permitting, is as follows:

Sun., June 7 – Mike & Joe (5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.) is a modern rock cover band with a focus on hits from the 90’s and 2000’s.

Wed., June 10 – Dupage Band (6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.) performs a mix of songs from the best of Motown, Classic Rock, Adult Contemporary and today’s Top 40.

Sun., June 14 – 7th Heaven (5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.) offers danceable renditions of Def Leppard, The Beatles, Journey and U2.

Wed., June 17 – Tropixplosion (6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.) is a high-energy, Caribbean band featuring steel drums, percussion, rock ‘n roll guitar and great vocals.

Sun., June 21 – Spoken Four (5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.) bridges all eras from the 60’s through today’s Top 40 hits, with vocal precision and ever changing repertoire.

Wed., June 24 – JoBu (6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.) blurs the lines between Rock and Reggae and creates an atmosphere conducive to dancing and grooving.

Sun., June 28 – HI-INFIDELITY (5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.) is an award-winning ‘80s cover band of classic rock at its best, including Bon Jovi, REO Speedwagon and more, plus some originals mixed in.

Wed., July 1 – The Hat Guys (6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.) play everything from rock ‘n roll to country, disco to hip-hop, 60’s to current hits. They encourage audiences to dance and sing along.

Concertgoers can also take advantage of the wide variety of eateries throughout Geneva Commons before or after the concerts, including Bar Louie, California Pizza Kitchen, Claddagh Irish Pub, Corner Bakery Café, Five Guys Burgers & Fries, Houlihan’s, Jamba Juice, Noodles & Company, Potbelly Sandwich Works, Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, Starbucks and Yogen Früz. They can stop by the Mall Office, located near H&M, for discount coupons valid at select eateries during concert times. Mall Office hours are Tuesday – Saturday 10:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.

Sidewalk Sale – Also planned is the annual Sizzlin’ Summer Sidewalk Sale on the last weekend of the concert series, Saturday and Sunday, June 27-28, with special sales both on the sidewalks and inside many Geneva Commons stores.
