Gas Gauge: Down a Dime, and Could Go Lower!
Gas prices are down to $3.79 this week, and the national and international outlook hints that it might continue in that direction.

I checked mine this morning, and it's a good time to fill 'er up, because it's a dime lower than it was a week ago.
That reflects a nationwide trend—it's down a dime all over the place this week—and the prognosis is good for the fall, according to an article on the IBtime.com website.

Apparently, oil prices went up about $20 a barrel this summer because of all the to-do in Libya. Now that Muammar Gaddafi has exited stage right, the price is down to about $85 a barrel. Also, prices usually go down in the fall.
All of which means—unless something goes blooey—we should continue to see steady or falling gas prices this fall.

The high price on Monday morning was $3.88 at the West Side Citgo, and the average price of a gallon of regular was $3.80.
