Gas Gauge: Would George Washington Have Paid $3.25 for a Gallon of Regular?
Ben Franklin said a penny saved is a penny earned, but it's not his day, is it?
"Bad seed is a robbery of the worst kind: for your pocket-book not only suffers by it, but your preparations are lost and a season passes away unimproved."
That's what George Washington said. He also said: "Let your discourse with men of business be short and comprehensive," so let's get to the Gas Gauge on this holiday.
The low price spotted for this week is $3.25, and that's a tie almost across the board. The good news is the average price in Geneva ($3.278) is lower that the average price for Illinois, which is $3.287 and going up, according to gasbuddy.com.
