Shirtless Geneva Man Arrested For DUI, Fleeing Police: Video
The 24-year-old man allegedly led police on a chase from Geneva to Sugar Grove.
GENEVA, IL – A 24-year-old Geneva man faces charges after he allegedly drove drunk, caused a crash and fled police, seemingly on a rim or flat tire, from Geneva to Sugar Grove, authorities told the Daily Herald. Christopher J. Kinney, 24, of the 700 block of East State Street, has been charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, fleeing police and resisting arrest following the Sunday incident. Authorities said Kinney was driving south on Peck Road around 8:10 p.m. when he passed a car on the left and sideswiped it before heading south on Fabyan Parkway, according to the Daily Herald.
He hit a guardrail after turning west on Fabyan. Authorities tried to pull over Kinney on Bliss Road north of the I-88 bridge in Sugar Grove but he did not stop until he got to Route 47 where authorities had blocked off the road, according to the Daily Herald. There, a shirtless Kinney, was taken into custody.
A witness who alerted authorities to the incident followed Kinney, capturing the chase and his arrest on video. That video was posted on the RADIOMAN911TV YouTube channel and can be viewed above.
