Geneva Called 'Best Of The West' Once Again By Magazine Survey
No other town has earned the distinction as many times in the magazine's two-plus decades of conducting the survey, officials said.

GENEVA, IL — Geneva has once again been named "Best of the West" by a magazine's reader survey.
West Suburban Living magazine readers ranked the Kane County city as the "premier community for dining, shopping and festivals" in its 2023 survey. No other town has earned the distinction as many times as Geneva has during the magazine's two-plus decades of conducting the survey, according to city officials.
Readers also chose Geneva as the top city they would most likely live in aside from their hometown.

The accolades for Geneva continue beyond that. Swedish Days was chosen "Best Festival," while Festival of the Vine got an honorable mention. The Geneva Arts Fair was ranked the second "Best Craft or Art Show," and the Geneva French Market earned third place for "Best Farmers Market."
In terms of shopping, downtown Geneva came away with first-place honors and Geneva Commons ranked third for "Best Farmers Market."

"Thank you to the residents, merchants, Geneva Chamber of Commerce, and numerous stakeholders who all work hard to make Geneva a great place to live and visit," city officials said.
