Geneva Guardrails To Be Replaced As Part Of Kane County Project
Geneva will be affected in the southeast quadrant of Randall Road, at the intersection of Keslinger and Kaneville roads, officials said.

GENEVA, IL — A section of guardrails in Geneva is one of 41 projects being completed by the Kane County Division of Transportation starting the week of April 17.
Geneva will be affected in the southeast quadrant of Randall Road, at the intersection of Keslinger and Kaneville roads, officials announced.
Part of the Kane County Guardrail Improvement Program, construction entails crews replacing guardrails, widening shoulders and laying new asphalt on shoulders in order to improve safety on county highways.

"The County’s typical process is to remove and replace old and/or outdated guardrails to achieve a high level of safety for the motoring public," a news release reads.
Crews will begin on the north end of Kane County and work their way south until all construction is complete, which is anticipated at the end of July. Officials said the progression may change depending on the weather.

Temporary lane closures will be required from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Crews will use flaggers to control traffic along the entire route for safety reasons.
