Geneva Man Accused of Raping Woman at Knifepoint in Geneva Home

The 55-year-old man now faces several charges in Kane County.

A 54-year-old Geneva man faces several charges for allegations he raped a 54-year-old woman at knifepoint at a home in the 200 block of Westhaven in Geneva earlier this month.

Howard S. Flint, who lives in the 200 block of Westhaven, was arrested after the victim called police to report the Feb. 2 sex assault, according to the Daily Herald. The woman told police Flint brandished a butcher knife and told her to undress before raping her.

Flint is charged with felony counts of aggravated criminal sexual assault; criminal sexual assault with force or threat of force; intimidation - expose to hatred, contempt or ridicule; and aggravated unlawful restraint. He also faces misdemeanor charges of aggravated assault use deadly weapon or rifle and domestic battery make physical contact, according to court records.

Flint appeared in court over the weekend and his bail was set at $500,000. He remained in custody at the Kane County Jail as of Thursday morning, according to online jail records.

Flint is next expected in court on Feb. 16 at the Kane County Judicial Center.
