Geneva Methodist Church To Reopen Following Month-Long Remodeling
United Methodist Church of Geneva closed Jan. 3 for a beautification project that included replacing flooring and repainting walls.

GENEVA, IL — Following a month of remodeling, the United Methodist Church of Geneva will reopen for a rededication service at 9 a.m. Sunday.
The church, located at 211 Hamilton St., closed Jan. 3 to begin the beautification project that included replacing carpeting and flooring and repainting walls, which haven't been painted in more than 20 years.
"In preparation for the updates, church members spent months going through the church purging and donating items we no longer needed and organizing the rest," Carolyn Burnham, church director of communications, said in a statement.
