Jewish Sunday School in Geneva Looks forward to Another Exciting Year!

Registration is now open for Fox Valley Jewish School (FVJS), Fox Valley Jewish Neighbor's (FVJN) Jewish education program. Located in downtown Geneva, this program offers classes two Sundays a month, with field trips and other special events throughout the year.

FVJS has classes for children in pre-K (age 3) through 8th grade, with an optional bar/bat mitzvah preparation program. Children with all ranges of Jewish education and backgrounds, including those from interfaith families are welcome to attend. FVJN's religious school provides a general Jewish education and does not adhere to any one particular branch of Judaism.

The FVJS School Committee has met 3 times so far this summer to plan for an exciting 2013 - 2014 school year! The FVJS fall field trip will be to the Fox Valley Wildlife Center in Elburn. Students will participate in a variety of experiences throughout the year, helping this wildlife rescue center through community service and fundraisers.

Sam Evans will continue to teach the 3rd through 8th grade students. Marci Lebowitz will continue to teach art and Rachel Yackley will continue to teach music. Ortal Alschitz will teach the beginner Hebrew class again this year.
