Sheriff: Deputy Can Be Requested for a Possibly Hostile Meeting
The Kane County Sheriff's Office is reminding residents of services offered following the tragic shooting at Henry Pratt Manufacturing.

KANE COUNTY, IL -- The Kane County Sheriff's Office is reminding area residents about its active shooter presentations, which can be scheduled for large groups, and a service offered where deputies are available to standby during a business meetings that are expected to turn hostile, including a meeting where an employee may be fired. Those wishing to schedule a deputy for standby support can call the sheriff's office records division at 630-232-6840.
The sheriff's office is also planning several active shooter presentations in March that will be open to any interested adults. No children are allowed at the presentations due to the graphic video content shared at the presentations, police said. An updated schedule of classes is expected to be posted soon on the sheriff's office website, according to a news release.
The additional presentations come on the heels of the tragic shooting at the Henry Pratt Manufacturing building in Aurora last week.

Hain, in a news release Thursday, said everyone should "take advantage" of the active shooter presentations offered at the sheriff's office. Since 2007, Kane County Sheriff's Office Lt. The sheriff's office will also present options for active shooter first aid kits to be stored in your church, school or businesses, according to the news release.
"Now is the time for Kane County to memorialize a horrific event by better preparing ourselves so we may never suffer a similar tragedy," Hain said.
