Kane County SWAT Training Exercise Scheduled In Geneva
The training will take place at a residence purchased by the city on Peck Road, near Heartland Drive on Geneva's west side.
GENEVA, IL — The Kane County SWAT team is scheduled to conduct a training exercise in Geneva Tuesday, officials said.
The training will last from 7 a.m. until about 3 p.m. at 64 Peck Road, near Heartland Drive on Geneva's west side. The property — a wood frame, single-family house — was purchased by the city for this activity, which focuses on a potential SWAT response to an emergency situation.
Officials said no sirens will be activated, no live weapons will be fired, and no adjacent neighborhoods are expected to be disturbed.

Signage will be posted in the driveway of the house to make passersby aware of the training. Safety officers will also be on site.
