Man in Darth Vader Mask Robs Geneva Bank

The man held up the First American Bank in Geneva Friday afternoon.

GENEVA, IL -- A man armed himself with a handgun and wore a Darth Vader mask when he held up a bank in Geneva Friday afternoon, police said.

Police are searching for the suspect accused of robbing the First American Bank, 1789 S. Randall Road, at 2:39 p.m. Friday. The man was also wearing an orange shirt, tan pants and had a nylon stocking on his head at the time of the robbery, according to bandittrackerchicago.com.

The alleged robber is described as a black male in his mid-40s. He had a large build and was about 6-feet 4-inches and weighed approximately 250 pounds.

Police did not reveal how much cash the robber got away with or if they believe more than one person was involved in the robbery, according to the Aurora Beacon-News. The Geneva Police Department is working with the FBI to investigate the robbery.
