Man Seriously Injured After Being Struck by Vehicle While Pushing Car in Roadway: Police

The Aurora man was flown to Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove with life-threatening injuries.

SUGAR GROVE -- A 20-year-old Aurora man was seriously injured Tuesday morning when he was struck from behind by a car while he was pushing his car in the westbound lanes between the on and off ramps of Galena Boulevard over Route 56 in Sugar Grove, the Kane County Chronicle reports.

Police said the driver of the car, Jorge Espinosa, 18, of Aurora, was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and not having a valid driver’s license. The injured man, who is not being identified at this time, was flown to Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove with life-threatening injuries, according to the article.
