Mandrake Wine Bar's Water Connection Is Happening This Week
The restaurant, specializing in small plates and cocktails, is planning to move into the former Chianti's Ristorante building.
GENEVA, IL — A water main installation project for Mandrake, a restaurant specializing in small plates and cocktails, continues through Friday, officials announced.
The new downtown Geneva restaurant, which will be located in the former Chianti's Ristorante building at 201 S. Third St., needs a water connection before moving in later this spring or summer, according to city officials.
Crews began installing the water main Wednesday and will work until Friday to get it done.

The project requires closing a portion of the sidewalk on Third Street, south of Campbell Street, and some on-street parking. Third Street will remain open in both directions for the majority of the project, but lanes will be shifted to accommodate the construction.
Officials said there may be times when only one Third Street lane will be open, but flaggers will be put in place to direct drivers.
