New City Clerk Appointed In Geneva
After moving to Geneva in 2001 and spending many hours volunteering in the community, Vicki Kellick has been appointed city clerk.
GENEVA, IL — Geneva has a new city clerk. Vicki Kellick was unanimously approved for the position by City Council May 2 after Mayor Kevin Burns put forth the nomination.
Kellick's appointment fills a seat left vacant by Roger Godskesen, who stepped down in April after holding the position for five years. As city clerk, Kellick will attend City Council meetings and prepare full records of each. Her appointment runs through May 2025, city officials said.
Kellick will make $3,600 annually as city clerk, according to a news release.

"Geneva has been my family’s home for just over 20 years, and I can’t imagine living elsewhere," Kellick said in a statement. "There is a deep sense of community here that can’t exist without involvement from our citizens. I care deeply about giving back to our incredible community, and I am honored to be able to do just that as City Clerk."
Before her recent appointment, Kellick served on the city's Strategic Plan Advisory Committee from 2005 to 2010, where she recorded and published meeting minutes, co-organized annual committee town hall meetings and helped revise the city's strategic plan, officials said.
