Doogle, Dusty, Daisy, and Bluey are Now Available for Adoption through Safe Haven Dog Rescue!
With an adorable soft, scraggly goatee and his enormous paws, 13 - 15 week old Doogle is going to be your lanky, best-friend sidekick. His litter was a mixed breed puppy soup with our best guess being husky, shepherd, lab, and schnauzer of some kind. He’s got the sweet floppy schnauzer ears and the lanky legs and big feet of a baby who will likely grow into a medium to large size boy. Even now he is a sizable toddler at a healthy 13lbs and enjoys wrestling, chewing toys, and generally being the goodest boi, but nothing makes him happier than talking to people. Dogs are good but people are where it’s AT.
At the sound of a person, particularly kid, talking Doogle’s head pops up and he looks over with the most attentive stare. He’s learned to come over to his name already (and certainly he would learn another just as fast) and has already learned to “sit” and “watch me”. He walks nicely on the leash. He can be distracted during exciting events, like the vet, and has enormous training potential. He is making headway in his potty training although as a young pup he will continue to need work in that area. Doogle’s a mover and a shaker and wants to follow you everywhere with his big paws and a huge grin!

Doogle gets along with people and with other animals. He would get along well with another dog, particularly an older dog who can be the boss. He is showing signs of doing well with cats but he does have a husky background so proceed with caution. He has met chickens and learned that they are best left alone. Doogle also is a fan of literal hugs, with his paws and chin on your shoulders, and he will fill your life with chin kisses. He is very happy to be a lap dog and will be a lucky someone’s best friend for life. Is that someone you?
Meet Dusty! Dusty is a fan favorite and has the very softest fur and a sweet baby smile at the corners of his mouth. He is fairly mid-sized at 12 pounds at 13-15 weeks and is staying fairly small compared to his larger littermates. He has the coloring of a shepherd but a calm, sweet nature that may come from one of his other background breeds including a possible lab/husky/schnauzer mix. His cuteness is powered by his upright ears, and both are formidable. The most important thing to know about Dusty is that he wants to snuggle you right now. Dusty is a happy pup who wants to spend time with his people. He loves to chew a good stick and will hide and hog all the toys. His nose is powerful and when he’s fed in a rolled-up towel or in a treat puzzle he very quickly finds all the snacks. Being food-motivated will make Dusty easy to train and so far he has learned how to “sit” and “watch me” and walks nicely, if a little puppy silly, on a leash. He is partially potty trained but will need some continued work because he’s just a baaaby. After he’s fully trained he will be the world’s best nighttime snuggling companion. He absolutely loves kids! Dusty would do well in a family with other dogs, but it’s not a necessity for him. He would enjoy a little kid companion more. He is interested in cats and with a chance to meet one he only snuffled it, but his husky background means that his prey drive should be considered seriously. He met chickens and they ran at him a few times before he decided that they should be given a wide berth. Dusty has all the makings of one of those pets that is the best one a kid ever had. Meet Daisy!
About 5 months old, 35lbs and growing!
Daisy is a young female mixed breed dog with plenty of love to give! She is very friendly and playful, and she's always up for an adventure. She loves to run around and explore, but also knows when it's time to snuggle up and relax. Daisy is incredibly smart and curious, and she's always game to learn new tricks. She's a fast learner and is working on her basic commands.
She is also very funny and loves to make her foster family laugh. Her affectionate nature is always on display, whether it's her love for kisses, or her welcoming 'welcome home' dance. Daisy is great with other dogs and people, and is always up for making new friends. She's a very social butterfly and loves to be the center of attention.
If you're looking for a fun-loving, smart, and affectionate companion, look no further! Daisy will make the perfect addition to your family.
Introducing Bluey aka Blue! She is a 15-week-old mixed breed puppy that will probably be 65 pounds or so as an adult.
Bluey is crate trained and will sleep through the night without a peep. She is about 80% housebroken and walks well on a leash. She gets along nicely with the two resident dogs in her foster home.
Bluey was returned by her adoptive family because their cats weren't big fans of having a dog. She didn’t hurt them, but the cats didn’t appreciate Bluey's charm.
Bluey is a very sweet and pretty laid back puppy! We think that she's smart as well. She loves to play fetch and likes to cuddle after her play time. She's relatively quiet but sometimes she'll make a baying sound when she's excited.
She'd make a great addition to a family!
