Oswego Uber Driver Used Credit Cards Mistakenly Left in Back Seat of Vehicle: Police

He picked up a woman in Geneva, who then left the cards in the backseat.

OSWEGO, IL — A 37-year-old Oswego man who worked as an Uber driver has been arrested after he allegedly used credit cards a woman mistakenly left in the backseat of his vehicle.

Farzad Khamissi, of the 400 block of Dancer Ln., was charged after a two month investigation that began in June 2016. Police say a woman reported that she had used Uber early the morning of June 5 in Geneva and left her cell phone and credit cards in the backseat.

Khamissi allegedly used those credit cards at several businesses in Oswego, racking up charges that totaled more than $500, according to Oswego Police Department Public Information Officer Cathy Nevara.

Oswego detectives obtained four felony charges of unlawful use of a credit card against Khamissi and a warrant was issued for his arrest July 28. The Uber driver turned himself in Aug. 9 and was released on bond.
