Penrose Beer Tent, New Location For Geneva Summer Concerts

This summer's concerts in the park will be held at River Park, 151 N. River Lane in Geneva.

GENEVA, IL - From the Geneva Park District: The 2018 Geneva Park District Concert in the Park Series will be held at River Park, 151 N. River Lane in Geneva. It will feature a new Penrose Brewery beer tent, and food and treats for sale from both Deane’s Market and Deli and Graham’s Fine Chocolates and Ice Cream.

“We are excited to move the concert series from Island Park to River Park in 2018. River Park is a much more accessible park and offers street parking along with nearby parking in city lots, and picturesque views along the Fox River. It is easy to get to and close to Downtown Geneva,” said Traci Wicks, Director of Marketing and Public Relations for the Geneva Park District.

“This year, we wanted to provide a more diverse selection of bands to the community. We have everything from classic Rock n’ Roll, to classic Country, to Caribbean and Reggae, to a mix-up of Pop and Hip-Hop. There truly is something for everyone, and I am excited with the 2018 line-up,” said Sarah Sielisch, Recreation Supervisor.

“The scenic outdoor amphitheater at River Park makes it the perfect atmosphere for outdoor concerts,” said Sielisch.

“The beauty of River Park and the new food and beer options gives our concert series a fresh new feel. In fact, River Park is similar to having a small Ravinia right here in Geneva,” said Wicks.
