Police: Geneva Man Rear-Ends Car In 5-Vehicle Crash On I-88; 1 Seriously Injured

The crash happened on I-88 near the Naperville-Aurora border Wednesday evening.

NAPERVILLE, IL - A 50-year-old woman was seriously injured in a five-vehicle crash on Interstate 88 near the Naperville-Aurora border on Wednesday evening. The crash happened when a car driven by Gabe Tucker, 41, of Geneva, drove into the rear of a westbound car traveling in front of him along I-88 near Route 59 at about 5:45 p.m., according to the Kane County Chronicle.

Both vehicles then struck a Ford Fusion and the car that was rear-ended went on to strike two additional cars, the Kane County Chronicle reports.

The driver of the Ford Fusion was taken to Edward Hospital in Naperville with serious injuries, according to CBS Chicago. The name of the woman was not being released.
