Route 25 Water Main Construction Nears Completion: City
It won't be long until Route 25 between Jefferson and State streets in Geneva reopens to traffic.

GENEVA, IL — After more than three months of work, construction on the new water main on Route 25 nears completion, officials announced.
As of Jan. 11, the city's contractor was able to pour the last portion of concrete necessary to complete the project. Officials said the concrete needs time to cure, but if weather permits, Route 25 is expected to reopen to traffic this week, according to the alert.
The state route, also known as North Bennett Street, closed from State to Jefferson streets at the beginning of October for the installation of a new water main. Businesses along State Street and Route 25 have remained open throughout the project.
