Semi-Truck Driver Crashes Into Geneva Traffic Pole, Flees Scene: PD
The impact of the crash, which happened at 3:57 p.m. Wednesday, knocked the pole over before the semi drove over it.

GENEVA, IL — A semi-tractor trailer crashed into a traffic signal at Route 38 and Route 25, knocking it down before fleeing the scene Wednesday afternoon, according to Geneva police.
Officers were dispatched to the area at 3:57 p.m. when they spoke to a witness who saw the incident happen. According to officials, the driver turned too close to the pole, located at the southwest corner of the intersection, knocked it down and drove over it.
"We are pretty confident the driver knew they struck the pole," Brian Maduzia, deputy chief of patrol operations, told Patch.
