Local Child Actor Plays Psychopath on ‘Law & Order: SVU’
Showtime's "Shameless" star Ethan Cutkosky lands role as increasingly troubled youth in the noted NBC television drama.
Ethan Cutkosky, the St. Charles youth who stepped into acting and now is starring in Showtime’s comedy-drama Shameless, has been tapped to star in an episode of Law & Order: SVU, according to an exclusive by TVGuide.com.
The online magazine reports that Cutkosky will play Henry Messner, a troubled youth who, despite a “normal and supportive upbringing, and various diagnoses and prescriptions … has become increasingly antisocial and his capacity for violence is escalating.”
The crime drama will examine the question of whether Henry was born a psychopath, and what happens to kids in trouble who go without help, according to TVGuide.com.

It looks like the show will run on April 24, according to Ethan's Tweet @EthanCutkosky.
Cutkosky is the son of West Side St. Charles residents David and Yvonne Cutkosky.

Shameless is a remake of a British TV series starring Cutkosky and William H. Macy, Emmy Rossum, Justin Chatwin, Shanoa Hampton, Steve Howey, Emma Kenney, Cameron Monaghan, Jeremy Allen White, Noel Fisher, Emma Greenwell, Zach McGowan, and Laura Slade Wiggins. The series is about a dysfunctional Chicago family of six whose father, played by Macy, has a drinking problem.
