Strike Is Over For Kane Co. Probation Workers
An agreement has been reached between the county and workers' union.

KANE COUNTY, IL – An agreement has been reached between the county and its probation workers who have been on strike over the past month, Chief Judge Susan Clancy Boles told the Daily Herald Monday. Terms of a new three-year contract call for a 2 percent raise for employees in the first year, a 2.25 percent boost in the second year and 2.5 percent more in the third year. In addition, the seniority policy has been revised, employees will get two additional personal days that could be cashed out if they are not used and workers will now have the option to bring in their own food to work, which solves a conflict over what staff can bring in to eat themseves, according to the article.
The workers first went on strike on April 3o.
