Tree Trimming Planned Along Route 25 In Geneva
Geneva residents will be notified when ComEd will begin trimming trees in their neighborhood.
GENEVA, IL — ComEd plans to trim trees along Route 25 on Geneva's east side starting in October, officials announced.
Trimming will take place on the state route from October through December, according to a news release. Officials did not provide a specific start date but said they would alert residents when trimming will take place in their neighborhood.
Although the city owns and operates its own electric utility, ComEd runs power lines through the community to Geneva's substations and neighboring towns. Trimming will help ensure electrical reliability since tree branches coming into contact with power lines is a leading cause of outages.
