GENEVA, IL — Tree trimmings are scheduled to take place on Geneva's west side in June. Residents will be notified by ComEd as trimming takes place in their neighborhood, city officials said.

ComEd crews are set to trim trees mostly along Peck Road as well as portions of South Street, Kaneville Road and Fabyan Parkway — all west of Peck Road — according to a news release.

Although the City of Geneva owns and operates its own electric utility, ComEd is taking care of the trimming since its power lines run through the area. The vegetation management program "helps ensure electrical reliability since tree branch contact with power lines is a leading cause of outages," officials said.
