Trees Will Be Trimmed On Geneva's West Side Starting In November
ComEd crews will be trimming trees away from electric lines in areas on Geneva's west side. See if areas around your home will be affected.
GENEVA, IL — With November right around the corner, residents can start preparing to see crews trimming trees in the area. Arborists from ComEd will be clearing tree branches around electric lines along several streets on Geneva's west side starting next week.
Streets that will be impacted include South Street, Kaneville Road and Keslinger Road, spanning from Western Avenue to Peck Road. Trees will also be trimmed along Western Avenue and Dunstan Road, from Allen Drive and South Street.
"The company states its vegetation management program helps ensure electrical reliability since tree branch contact with power lines is a leading cause of outages," city officials said in a news release.
