West Chicago Fire: 1 Dead, 92-Year-Old Rescued From Blaze

An intense blaze broke out in a three-story home in West Chicago Wednesday night, fire officials said.

WEST CHICAGO, IL – A 52-year-old man is dead and an elderly man has been transported to the hospital following a house fire in West Chicago Wednesday night, the Daily Herald reported. The intense fire broke out at about 10 p.m. in the 100 block of West Grand Lake Boulevard in West Chicago, ABC 7 reports. Three people were inside at the time and one was able to get out but the 52-year-old man and 92-year-old man became trapped inside, according to the Daily Herald.

Firefighters were able to rescue the older man, according to ABC 7. He has been hospitalized and his condition is not immediately available.

Fire officials said the 52-year-old man was found dead inside the home. His identity has not yet been released.
